Electrical Safety in Carlisle

Little Electrical Ltd are NAPIT Part P Approved electricians serving the people and businesses of Carlisle and the surrounding districts. Our electrical inspection and certification services provide you with the professional backup to ensure your rental properties comply with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. When we check the safety of your wiring and fittings in individual properties and communal areas, an Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) is produced to indicate any issues that need rectification and what has been found to be safe. Our electricians are qualified and highly experienced having been kept up to date with detailed knowledge of current safety regulations. Our service is a cost-effective solution to identifying and rectifying defects. Our record keeping is also a handy back-up to your own records of inspection certificates and helps reduce the electrical safety certificate cost next time round. Depending on the age and condition of the installation the certificate is normally valid for up to 10 years.

Whether you would like your home inspected for peace of mind or if it is a requirement for your insurance company or estate agent, we can provide an efficient and professional service that will give you everything you need.

This service is ideal for people who are planning to purchase a new property. What to Expect from the Electrical Safety Testing Sequence

What is the Fixed wire testing Sequence?

To provide transparency and clarity to homeowners, tenants and landlords, we explain here what is meant by the approved “fixed wire testing sequence”. An electrical safety test sequence is the correct sequence that a registered and approved electrician will employ in their electrical safety testing procedure. This applies to electrical installation condition report or EICR Certificates as they are commonly known. This sequence conforms to BS7671 and the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations guidance notes 3. Electricians will be registered with the NICEIC and NAPIT schemes.
